Is it just me??? [Sep. 8th, 2009 ♥ 03:28 am]
My Friends Page is almost always at least a day or two behind. New posts don't show up for a considerable amount of time. I know people are posting in that time as I can check individual journals to see updates; however, my Friends Page doesn't show them. I first noticed this about a month ago and am confused/annoyed. Is it just me? Am I doing something silly that causes this? Or has anyone else noticed it with their Friends Pages as well?

Fairy Tales Come True Necklace [Jul. 14th, 2009 ♥ 02:07 pm]

This is my favorite necklace design I have created thus far. I am absolutely crazy about it. The necklace features a vintage 12k gold-filled Catamore carved rose brooch, a 12 carat micro-faceted pink chalcedony briolette, freshwater pearls, and 14k gold-filled findings. It can be worn two ways. This is the first option, my favorite.

I just love the soft colors and feminine shapes of the design.

This is the second option for wearing.

Very romantic.

The facets of the pink chalcedony are beautiful.

I am planning on taking this necklace with me when I visit a local upscale boutique to see if they are interested in carrying my designs. I hope they like it!

I have also been busy filling up my Etsy shop with my current stock. So far I have tons of dangle earrings listed and will have necklace, bracelets, studs, hair pins, rings and brooches all listed by the end of the week (hopefully).

busy [Jul. 2nd, 2009 ♥ 10:23 pm]

i have been staying incredibly busy. i have a fair or festival every saturday this summer except three. things have been going wonderfully though and my business is really blooming! i have a big event this saturday. i have a prime juried spot in downtown lexington for the fourth of july festival. i am expecting a great day!

i have been creating more and more pieces all summer and it's been fantastic. i feel so refreshed now that i have graduated and can focus my attention entirely on my business. things have been wonderful.

i will be featured in the july issue of kentucky bride magazine and i couldn't be more pleased! a few of my pieces will be featured in an article focused on a modern take on "something blue." i can't wait to see how it looks!

i keep meaning to come back here and get back in the swing of posting, but i just never seem to have the time.

lately [May. 15th, 2009 ♥ 10:36 am]
i'm not sure lately what to do with this blog. part of me wants to delete it and the other part of me doesn't. i appreciate livejournal for the communities but i pretty much do all my posting on my blogspot blog. i'd like to give this blog a face lift and use it again, but i don't want to put in the effort. we'll see where i end up.

in the mean time, here are some photos of three new designs, discussed on my craft blog and up for sale in my etsy shop.

i participated in a local festival this past weekend and it as a roaring success. i was absolutely blown away by how well i did. i made enough money in two days to pay rent for four months! it was spectacular.

i also a college graduate now, which is such a relief. i no longer have to waste away my days in classes that have nothing to do with how i'll spend my life. i am so thankful to be able to devote myself 100% to my business now. i am busy replenishing my stock after this weekend and i'm building up my etsy shop, hoping to have well over 100 items listed in the next week and more to come from there. i'm working on two custom orders at the moment, one is for the jewelry for a bridal party. today will be spent creating new designs and getting them all carded and priced as i'm taking more pieces by a local boutique tomorrow afternoon.
